Whats
in a name? This black and white illustrated childrens book explores
the meaning of names with a light-hearted approach that the whole family
will find appealing. The bold line-drawings by poet/artist bill bissett
and the engaging free verse story by Irene June Karasick, invite creative
thinking and stimulate the imagination. Young readers (ages 3 to 7) will
be encouraged to consider words and their meanings and the images they
convey. The fanciful black and white illustrations by bill bissett, one
of Canadas most revered poets (who is also a visual artist) may
be used as a very innovative colouring book. Whats in
a name? You might be surprised!
